Inaugural Champion for Girls Luncheon

On Wednesday, we celebrated International Day of the Girl by hosting our Inaugural “Champion for Girls” Luncheon. Thank you to everyone who attended in-person and supported from afar. Nearly 200 people joined us at the sold-out event to recognize leaders who are paving the way for the next generation of strong, smart and bold women, including Girls Inc. National President & CEO Dr. Stephanie Hull, Girls Inc. of Omaha and MSNBC Host Symone Sanders-Townsend, Girls Inc. DC’s Executive Director Heather Hairston, several members of our Board of Directors, as well as our honorees:

  • Strong Award: Commissioner Anna Gomez, FCC

  • Smart Award: Dr. Robert Simmons, Micron Technology

  • Bold Award: Broderick Johnson, Comcast Corporation
